About Motorwatch & these terms
Motorwatch is an independent tool for exploring vehicle asking-price history and market information. It is not a vehicle seller and is not affiliated with the listing websites shown.
These are draft terms for the proposed service. The legal operator’s name, postal address and customer-service contact must be confirmed before they are used. Clicking through this design preview does not create an account, a subscription or a payment obligation.
The final terms and the information shown before checkout will explain the service you are buying. The privacy policy and cookie policy explain information handling and choices separately.
Vehicle checks, alerts & reports
A watch follows an advertised vehicle listing. A daily check is an attempt to observe that listing’s asking price; it is not continuous or real-time monitoring. A check may be delayed or fail when a source is unavailable, changes its website or removes a listing.
An alert depends on an observed change, the rules you select and successful email delivery. Prices may change between checks. A removed listing does not confirm that a vehicle sold, and a price history does not establish its condition, ownership or suitability.
Weekly trends describe the listings and time period in the report. They are not a valuation guarantee, a prediction or confirmation of achieved sale prices. Check important information directly with the seller and read the data methodology.
Our data & reports
Motorwatch puts substantial work into collecting, checking and presenting asking-price records, price histories and market reports. Motorwatch owns the rights in that data and how it is put together, including database right and copyright under UK law.
You can view the reports and price histories for your own use, and quote individual figures, for example in an article, a forum post or a conversation with a seller, as long as you name Motorwatch as the source and link to the report where you can.
Without written permission from Motorwatch, you must not:
- use scrapers, bots or other automated tools to copy or collect data from the website, the extensions or the Motorwatch API, apart from search engines indexing public pages;
- copy, republish or sell a substantial part of the data, or build a database, product or service from it, including by repeatedly taking small parts that add up to a substantial part;
- use the data to train or improve AI models;
- extract keys or signing secrets from the extensions, or call the Motorwatch API other than through the extensions or with an API key Motorwatch has issued to you.
Motorwatch may block access that appears automated or breaks these terms. To ask about using the data, email data@motorwatch.co.uk.
Using Motorwatch responsibly
Use Motorwatch for lawful purposes. Do not try to access someone else’s account, bypass security or plan limits, interfere with the service or submit harmful content. Only provide information you are entitled to use, and avoid including someone else’s personal information in notes or feedback.
Motorwatch may need to restrict access to investigate misuse or protect the service. The final terms must describe a fair process, contact route and the treatment of any paid access affected. Visiting third-party sites is also subject to those sites’ own terms.
Service changes & responsibilities
Website changes, outages and incomplete source data can affect coverage. Material changes to a paid service or its price should be explained in advance with any applicable options to cancel or obtain a remedy.
Motorwatch is responsible for delivering the service in accordance with applicable consumer rights. Data limitations do not remove those rights. No term is intended to exclude liability where exclusion would be unlawful, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Before paid launch, the final terms need a reviewed statement of contractual responsibilities, complaints handling and applicable law, consistent with the operator’s identity and the markets served.
Help, complaints & updates
For extension help, visit the Motorwatch community. For privacy enquiries, use privacy@motorwatch.co.uk. A private customer-service route for billing, cancellation and complaints must be published before memberships are sold.
These terms were prepared on 12 October 2026 as a draft. A final version will have an effective date and explain how material changes are communicated. Existing paid commitments must not be changed simply by silently replacing this page.
